When the general contractor was faced with the challenges of finding a segmental retaining wall installer, he looked to guidance from his geotechnical and design engineering team. The general contractor wanted to find a company that could respond to his urgent needs to get the wall started very quickly and be able to coordinate activities with the grading contractor and engineering team. Synergy Earth Systems, LLC was recommended to the general contractor by the engineering team he had assembled. Synergy’s proved track record of successful projects and their ability to respond in a timely fashion led to Synergy being selected to construct the retaining wall at this site.

The site was challenging in that it has some loose fill that needed to be removed and recompacted along the foundation of the segmental retaining wall. The segmental wall was constructed with a couple of curves, but was overall fairly straight. Good sandy fill was imported for the reinforced backfill. The project ended-up totaling about 3,600 square feet and was completed in about 6 working days. The project was started and finished in mid-November.
