MSE Modular Block and Panel Retaining Walls, Wire Form Retaining Walls, Gabion Walls, and Geogrid Reinforced Slopes

The development of geosynthetic reinforcement in the early 80’s led to the advent of reinforced soil structures. This new technology gave the designer unlimited options in solving grade separation challenges at any site. With most of the “flat” sites being developed already, Owner’s and Engineers are faced with project sites that are more challenging to develop. The ability to design a geogrid reinforced slope at a 50 or 60 degree angle or a to design segmental block/wire form retaining wall to heights in excess of 50’ can help make a site “useable”. These types of structures have been used for decades as a means to improve the economics of site development.

At Synergy, our engineers have been on the front end of this technology and have the experience to solve even the toughest of problems that your site may have. In addition to the basic design of a wall, Synergy’s engineers have the capability to design for complex problems related to global stability, weak foundation soils, seismic events, and others. The construction experience of Synergy’s engineers provides another advantage since it allows our engineers to take into account how the wall or slope design and construction will impact the overall construction of the project. This helps to limits potential conflicts on a project that can lead to cost increases.
